WHY Engineering
Description
About the project
WHY Engineering needed a brand that reads as competent to the people who commission engineering work, and a website that explains the practice without falling into jargon.
The problem
Engineering firms are usually judged before anyone gets in touch. A prospective client finds the site, decides whether this is a serious practice, and either makes contact or quietly does not. Work lost this way never announces itself.
What was built
A logo built to hold up small and in one colour, on drawings, documents and signage as well as on screen
Typefaces and a colour system that carry across proposals, reports and the site
A website that states what the practice does and who it does it for, in plain terms
Search titles and descriptions for every page, so the practice can be found for what it does
A blog, a site search and enquiry forms, native to the site, so there is nothing extra to maintain
Automated email replies behind the enquiry forms, so nobody waits for a first answer
Rules for both, so new documents and new pages stay consistent without a redesign
The result
One consistent look across the site, the documents and anything printed. The site says plainly what the practice does and who it is for, so a client arrives at the first conversation already knowing.
Built on Wix Studio. The identity is set up so anyone at the practice can apply it: new document, new page, same rules.
